Mr. Doty has practiced landscape architecture for twenty-five years. Besides the standard practices of master planning, site design, and production, Mr. Doty has unique skills in Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Illustration, Computer modeling, Color Programs and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Historical Experience:

Project Designer for New Mexico State Fairgrounds Master Plan
Leveraged the value of a unique urban fairgrounds site, giving it year-round functionality and projecting a 20yr. future game plan. The fairgrounds included the challenge of developing all parking & support facilities for Tingley Coliseum, a 12,000 seat &hockey arena, as well as the Downs at Albuquerque, a one mile oval racetrack

Theme Park Design
As an architectural illustrator w/ PGAV, Mr. Doty designed several venues within Busch Garden Theme Parks using illustrations as a guide to construction. LEWISITES continues this tradition, w/ exceptional hands on and visual guidance to site improvements. LEWISITES spends far more time on-site working with contractors to assure the successful installation of their design than any other landscape architecture firm around.

Final implementation stage to complete Lawrence Halprin’s Master Plan for the University of New Mexico campus. Albuquerque, New Mexico

Tierra Contenta
Mr. Doty was responsible for the master planning component of a unique recreation/ residential/ conference facility outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico

Herculaneum Community GIS System
Developed a geographic information system that combined custom aerial photography, publicly available databases & proprietary databases into one software solution, that has been used in the defense of a class action lawsuit as well as by the EPA for the administering their community programs, Herculaneum, Missouri.
